GOtv is a Pay TV service provided by Multichoice Africa.

Unlike DStv which is also a Pay TV, but satellite service provided by Multichoice through the use of dish.

Gotv signal transmission is via a terrestrial digital TV means, not dish. Hence there is no need for dish or ceremonial installation, leading to reduced access cost.

Gotv is currently available in select cities in Nigeria, Zambia, Uganda, Ghana, Malawi, Namibia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya.

GOtv offers Digital TV services   without the use of  dish.

GOtv utilises the latest Digital Terrestrial Broadcast Technology, DVB-T2. The broadcast method is similar to that used by the likes of NTA and AIT, but is digital with better quality audio and video. Perhaps the closest service to Gotv is Startimes, a digital pay TV service based on DVB-T.

Gotv is a digital terrestrial TV service, not satellite TV. So, the service is deployed through TV masts and accessible only in locations with GOtv transmitter coverage. Currently GOtv is available in the most cities in Nigeria.

The major advantage of the GOtv setup is that no satellite dish is required leading to low/zero installation cost.

The decoder comes with an outdoor antenna (a.k.a GOtenna), which offers better reception with better quality video and audio.

GOtv Channels & Packages

GOtv offers monthly pay bouquets, namely the GOtv Max (N3800), GOtv Plus (N1900), GOtv Value (N1250) & GOtv lite (N400).

Africa Magic ( Yoruba, Hausa, Igbo), Al Jazeera, BET, Discovery World, E! Entertainment, HIP Tv, Sony Max, Sound City, CNN, Disney Junior, Silverbird, AIT, MTV Base, Telemundo, National Geographic Wild, Sony Entertainment TV, Supersports 1,2 & 3, etc.
